Texas Open-Carry Law Comes Home to Roost

Here is an excerpt I find has a built in great question……One fellow who just wanted to attend the protest with his brother inexplicably brought his unloaded AR-15 with him. Fortunately for him, he gave a policeman his assault weapon as soon as the shooting started. That probably saved his life, but he still acted stupidly to bring such a thing to a highly charged situation…..

In the above excerpt you find a hidden question: “why would he bring a hugely visible firearm to a highly charged situation protesting the use of and the result of using fire arms.”  No he did not bring it to protect himself, if he felt in danger of losing his life he wouldn’t have gone to the event.  So why bring trouble, why invite trouble?   I can’t figure that out.   It is almost hurtful to see that even in people trying together to stop hurting each other, we find ways to hurt each other.  Hugs

One last thing.. to the argument that guns don’t kill people, people kill people.. the simple response is the gun is what allows one person to kill multiple out of arm reach people.   The gun is the principal object that allows the killing of so many targets in one area.   Hugs
