  1. I’m going top opt for the former. I never liked Yahweh in the first place, nasty miserable bugger that he was.

  2. there is no such thing as hell. it was invented by priests long after Jesus was gone. the place they described as hell was true. it was outside the city. it was where they took the garbage, the human waste, and the dead bodies to be burned. the concept of hell was made to keep the followers in fear and obey the priests.

    • Hello Doug. I had heard that before and I think if I remember there was no hell in the jewish book we would call the old testament. It starts with a P but I can’t spell it and don’t want to seem insulting. I never could wrap my head around eternal punishment even when I was in the church. I thought the God I was learning of wouldn’t do that, he would simply just let us die, not to know him and his heaven. Then I learned of this idea many have that God alone decides who to save, who will hear his word, and who will never be allowed to, and those not allowed to would be consigned to this eternal torture. I can’t accept that. God knows before you’re born who he will save and who he will consign to eternal torture. At the same time those peoples relatives and loved ones are in heaven watching them suffer in hell and could be happy…It just never made sense. Ron’s mother was a christian and she was a grand lady, but she also never believed in hell and said such talk was nonsense. I am glad to see there are good people, good christians who don’t think those who don’t follow their same views will roast for eternity. Be well. Hugs
