    • I so hope so. Strange this is something that affects ALL the people in the USA. Even if you work and get your insurance from your employer, the insurance market is going to change, higher rates, higher deductible, less choice. Why not more interest, why not more outcry? Locally our medical people , including the strongly republicans, are against this. In fact I was surprised after the outcry at first, many either want a more inclusive ACA or universal health care. Their biggest fear is that Universal healthcare will cut their income due to regulated payments like it does with medicare. Greed among the healers, who knew.

      • I’ve been reading about the ‘tax’ breaks in the new system. Not much good if you don’t pay tax. 😦

      • True. They either seem to feel everyone has plenty of money for these necessaries or they simply do not care if poor people never get care for anything. It is like Health Savings Accounts will do no good to anyone not wealthy. IF you had spare money to put away in a savings account you would have done it. Most people are living paycheck to paycheck. At most they have 2 paychecks in the bank. So again their plans simply don’t work for anyone who doesn’t have money. I am still steamed at Chaffetz saying poor people need to stop buying things like phones and pay for health care instead. First it would take a huge number of phones each year to equal the cost of health care insurance, plus deductibles and co-pays. Then we find out he gets his cell phone, his cell plan plus all sorts of computers and electronics FREE. They are paid for by his donors. So he is an entitled selfish heartless prick. Hugs

      • Ah yes, we heard about Chaffetz’ comment even here. You’d think he was channeling Marie Antoinette with her ‘let them eat cake’.
A couple of our right wing politicians have said utterly stupid things like that as well, and they did not go down well.
Imho, every politician should do a mandatory tour of their electorate every year, to see how real people actually live.

      • I love it. Maybe take a two week time frame to live with a family in the community to see how it feels to live their lives, even for a short time. Hugs

      • Wouldn’t that make a difference? A real ‘walk a mile in my shoes’ type thing.
