Two short videos. One a short housekeeping video shot second, the other a 15 minute video about my upcoming surgery and my views on radical extremist religions. Thanks, Hugs

  1. (first video feedback) I laughed out loud at the ‘stoned’ part. ..I didn’t get that (either I missed the video or I didn’t notice you were out to lunch) . . . 🙂

(second video feedback) I love the sound of your voice, Scottie. You just emit goodness. I could have told you there was nothing wrong with your heart. 😉 I agree 100% about naming these loonies Christian extremists but it’ll never happen.

Many hugs to you too, Scottie! Hello to Ron, too! 🙂

    • Thank you Carmen! So nice of you, I am blushing. I worked hard to be the person I am. To make my life positive not negative. To never turn into the person they wanted to make me. I am glad that shows in the videos and in my actions. Hugs

  2. Hello Scottie!
It’s been a while but I’m back poking around these blog parts again! I’m even thinking about restarting my blog again, though it may be a bit different that what it was before.
I’m glad to hear you will be getting your surgery soon and hope it will help. I should add that, coming from a country with government health care, it would take quite a bit longer to schedule non-emergency surgery such as yours, but of course the cost is much less.
Relating to religion, I can add that “Islam” refers to the religion itself while “Muslims” are the people that practice Islam. As for other terms, like extremist or Islamist, those have everything to do with whoever is using the term and whatever they want it to mean. You are completely right that there are dangerous extremists in pretty much every religion but it seems to be only Muslims that get called “radical extremists”. And yes, many religious texts have violent language but it is my belief that most people who practice these religions keep this in its proper context and choose to practice their religion as an expression of love, compassion, and togetherness.

    Hugs Scottie,
    Evan

    • Again it is grand to see you again. Thanks for the comments. I have been over a year getting the hip thing set up. I did not realize how bad the hip had gotten, it was an X-ray of the knee that showed part of the hip that started this whole thing. I had fallen and landed on my knee. I thought I had damaged my knee, but it turned out with my bone density bing low I crushed the head of my femur. SO ya I am happy to be getting it done. I am beyond able to handle the pain and I am to be totally off the leg which means I can’t do anything any more until the surgery, then 6 to 10 weeks after. Please let me know all about what you have been doing. I love the idea of you doing a new blog. As I said in my last reply I enjoyed talking with you about the history of the middle east and about religions. I would love your take on our politics. Hugs
