Thank you for posting this. Either we are a humane people or we are not. This type of treatment for any child to suffer just to get to safety and be vetted. Look I understand the need to check people out. It doesn’t need to take this long, and there is no need to hold mothers and their children in prison or jail like settings. Release them to a willing sponsor and let them show their worth and share their abilities. We live in a country where the NSA knows our emails and our phone conversations. we have cameras on most streets, in businesses and a lot of homes. Heck police can now take a photo and scan for it online, and the internet will show where this picture is. So it is not like we are going to lose these people. Even if a few do slip through the cracks, which is not what they want to do, they are a small number that won’t hurt us. Think of it. Mothers and children in jail. What if it was your mom and you as a child. What if it was your daughter and grandchild. If you have a deity what will that deity say to you when you meet them about this? IF you believe in a progressive world, how is this progressive? Think. Hugs

  1. They put them in general pop lock up?! My god! Why can’t I ever hear about these things in time for action to be taken ffs…I guess they wouldn’t exactly tell us as it was happening or else we’d do something…right? I hope?

    • Hello Echo. You are correct. They are in immigration holding detention centers. Think prisons for immigrants. in those situation women, children, teens get assaulted and raped often. Oversight is lax, accommodations horrible. There are ways you can help. You can sign petitions, you can help groups who help the immigrants. Every little bit helps. it is on going right now and they do need our help. Hugs
