(22) Josephus On Jesus – YouTube

Filed under: Atheism, History, News, Reason, Religion — Scottie @ 20:10

On a couple blogs I go to I see this Josephus used by theist to show Christ existed.  The Atheist easily pick this apart.   I wanted to know more and understand this, so here is a video I found.  I can tend to remember more if I see it multiple times and in both written and visual formats.  If any of my atheist friends have more info to share let me know.  Hugs

  1. This is an excellent and straightforward explanation. I have never held with the partial Testimonium and cannot see what those who hold with this partial mention are on about.

It reads like a christian interpolation from start to finish.
And the passage by Tacitus fairs little better.

    • So many fall back to the writings of Josephus to back up their claims but it never rang true to me. Yet they insisted the information you, John, Peter, all the others presented which seems to be far more conclusive. I was really surprised that Mel stuck to his line in face of what you presented. I thought better of him at first. Hugs

      • I feel sure most Christians are simply unaware of the other Jesus’s or why the Flavianum could possibly be an interpolation so they simply side with the apologists.

I tend to lean towards Eusebius being the forger as he was not above lying and forgery.
