Ultra-Orthodox Jewish Men Wear Blindfolds At Airport To Avoid Seeing ‘Immodest’ Women – All That Is Interesting

Filed under: News, Questions, Religion — Scottie @ 17:36

Another example of people taking a religious myth to the extremes and causing trouble and harm for others.   Look I don’t care if they want to believe anything they want but when they come in contact with others they have NO right to force others to give into them.  They are the offenders here, not the woman going about their normal lives.   They don’t want to see or contact the other “dirty” people, stay the heck in their homes.   Hugs

It’s just the latest example of religiously-motivated unusual behavior involving airports and planes.

  1. I went to Israel on an IsRair flight. It was interesting, annoying and downright disgusting at times. My sister and I were seemingly the only two Non-Jewish women on the flight and were told by the steward that we “needed to cover our hair as the men were disturbed by (our) immodesty”.
I looked at the steward (no stewardesses as they are obviously immodest) and said “no. If they have a problem they can look somewhere else”. They all ended up wearing eyemasks for the rest of the flight.
These “religious” men slept in the aisles, threw food across the plane, “prayed” out loud in shouts, washed their feet in the aisles, shoved my sister and I out of their way when they wanted to walk to the restrooms and when they were getting off the plane. They had an annoying habit of grabbing us as they walked down the aisles, or pinching us as we walked down the aisles.
I complained quite LOUDLY halfway through the flight and thank heaven was moved (my sister too) to first class. Never again.

    • Thank you for standing up for your self and your sister. It angers me to no end when men think that women have no rights and are not human, but objects for their scorn. I really wish followers of these extreme ideas would just stay in the caves they seem to crawl out of. Hugs

  2. If those stupid schmucks want to live like they’re in the 4th century they ought not be flying on airplanes. Assholes.

  3. Men are disturbed not by things, but by the view which they take of them.

This is another lack of hyper-testosteroned males NOT wanting to take ownership of their own mind and bodies and instead cowardly placing the blame on entirely the WRONG source! These ultra-orthodox Jewish men are no different than the Islamic extremists that force their women to be completely covered, head to toe, no skin showing whatsoever. Popular Egyptian author Alaa Al Aswany wrote a superb book about this RIDICULOUS unfounded belief called “On the State of Egypt: What Made the Revolution Inevitable.” I recommend it to anyone not familiar with these moronic gender disorders/beliefs. I also wrote a post about it Scottie in Oct. 2012. 🙂 Here’s the link for anyone interested…

    • Great points Professor. I always wondered why those groups who think men are so superior to woman then think a man can not exercise control over his actions? Stupid but then they are basically giving men permission to do any horrible thing they want to another person because it is never the mans fault and always the woman’s. Hugs

      • All three Abrahamic religions pass off Individual Ownership for behavior & words to someone/something else other than exactly WHERE it must be placed: themselves. Period.

Family then community upbringing (as a child & youth) factor in, yes. But by 16-20 years old, IMPO it SQUARELY rests on you the individual until death or total psychological insanity/incoherance.

      • I agree. What it comes down to is a privileged group making it so they can do an enjoy anything they wish while restricting others rights to enjoy anything. Hugs
