The CDC bans 7 words and phrases from work conducted by their scientists

I know this subject has been on many blogs, but this is presented well and in compact form. We need to pay attention. Hugs

Why Evolution Is True

Several readers sent me links to an odious new policy implemented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the U.S. This link to the Chicago Tribune‘s article, source of the quotes below, comes from reader Ron.

This new policy was of course forced on the CDC by the Trump administration.  My emphasis below:

Trump administration officials are forbidding officials at the nation’s top public health agency from using a list of seven words or phrases – including “fetus” and “transgender” – in any official documents being prepared for next year’s budget.

Policy analysts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta were told of the list of forbidden words at a meeting Thursday with senior CDC officials who oversee the budget, according to an analyst who took part in the 90-minute briefing. The forbidden words are: “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” and “science-based.”

  3. Most of what Trump does or says seems so uncalculated that I assume he’s a low-IQ dotard, but clearly the people in his administration do not fit that profile. They are conniving, cold, and evil. These tiny “behind-the-scenes” actions all appear plotted and interconnected. While the Dotard laughs and farts his way around the country, shouting stupid phrases into microphones so his crazed supporters will cheer, Republican operatives are hard at work limiting our democracy, removing worker and consumer protections, siphoning more cash to billionaires, and eating away at the ecosystem in ways that can’t be repaired.

  4. I’d rather go to You Tube and rematch George Carlin do his bit on the 7 words he couldn’t say on US media.
This stuff is censorship. Almost typed censorship, same thing really. After all, it did come from the orange haired rodent.

    • how can we trust an gov agency or science that is not allowed to use the words needed to express the job. It is a way to argue against findings they don’t like. Save the feelings of the deplorables. Hugs
