Theocratic Constitution Party Makes Their CPAC Debut: Sexual Deviants Deserve No Legal Favor Or Protections

Filed under: Bigotry, Gender, Harm, Homosexual, News, Political, Questions, Religion — Scottie @ 19:46

The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.

The above logically leads to this:

No government may legitimately authorize or define marriage or family relations contrary to what God has instituted. We are opposed to any judicial ruling or amending the U.S. Constitution or any state constitution re-defining marriage with any definition other than the Biblical standard.

We reject the notion that homosexuals, transgenders or those who are sexually deviant are deserving of legal favor or special protection, and affirm the rights of states and localities to proscribe offensive sexual behavior. We oppose all efforts to impose a new sexual legal order through any courts or legislatures.

Finally, we oppose any legal recognition of homosexual or civil unions. We affirm the value of the father and the mother in the home and we oppose efforts to legalize adoption of children by homosexual singles or couples.

You’ll be shocked to learn that the Constitution Party raised money for Roy Moore’s Senate run.

  1. What is their definition of “sexually deviant” and “offensive sexual behavior?” Also how would they know if you were guilty of those “crimes”? Do you need to be caught in the act? Who exactly is watching anyway? There are a lot of disturbing things listed above. I would assume polygamy is okay though, right? Having a concubine too? Stoning adulterers? I mean, if we’re getting back to a “Biblical foundation”…

    • Reminds me of the ones who feel that homosexualilty is the only one in that whole section of the bible that needs to be followed today. Mixed fibers, seafood, all the other laws they don’t have to bother with, but the one about sex, oh ya, that one we have to enforce. It all comes back to two things. One this is people enforcing their own bigotries and dislikes / hatreds. Second these are the dislikes / hates of the MEN in charge. The most repressive men. These are pushed down to everyone else regardless of how they feel about things. Women are second class people and sexual minorities are not people. All because of the male leadership. Hugs

      • These are the same people who felt slavery was okay too. Are we supposed to bring that back as well? These are the types of things I talked about when I said that Christians can’t have their own thoughts. The men in power decide what you should feel about things. If you choose to say that you feel differently, they claim they are speaking on behalf of God and that you are being sinful for disagreeing. The Bible says that honoring God using Pagan symbols is forbidden by God. Are they willing to give up Christmas? Not likely. Cherry picking is a Christian tradition. Choosing the most beneficial parts and discarding the rest. Whatever works best for them and whatever keeps them in power, right? Glad it’s in my rearview mirror now.

My guess would be “any sex outside of heterosexual marriage, unless one of the people involved is either a Christian clergyman or a member of the Constitution Party”…

      • They seem to think what others do in private is fair game for them to judge , but what they do is secret. They don’t want people to judge them. Hugs

  2. You won’t be surprised to hear that I’m ecstatic that they not only lost their money but also any use Roy Moore might have been to them. The bible (or what books they allowed in it) is two thousand years old and was written for a different time and different people. . The gnostic gospels, those left out or excluded from the bible, tell us that Mary Magdalene was the rock upon which Jesus built his church and she was his closest disciple. Constantine and the Bishops ruled those gospels out and went with the one of Peter because he was male yet the Christians following Mary carried on for a long time while the Peter Christians gained ground. It’s not some god who has put together the rules of the bible, it’s men who want control of people.Whatever happened to live and let live? They should concentrate their efforts on being the best and nicest people they can rather than the watchdog for others whose views and religions may not agree with theirs.

  3. I was initially going to write : This is a joke, right?”, but I had a quick reality check and remembered what we are dealing with here.
Jesus, Scottie, do these fucking nutters ever give up?
It’s like reading a manifesto for a neo-Nazi party in the 21st Century.

    • No Ark, that is the worst part. They never give up. That is why it is so important for you and those like you to keep pushing back, keep showing how these people are wrong, keep resisting their attempt to put their god everywhere including government, your bedroom, your underpants, your emotions, your dining table. I am learning and I will keep posting about it and pushing back, but sadly I do not get the respect from the worst of these that you , John, Professor , Nan and so many others do. But the more I learn, the more others learn, the more we can counter their “dusty goat herders guide to the world of make believe and woo” also known as their holy books. Thanks for all your posts, comments, and efforts to knock these people back some. Hugs

  4. Reading this post actually turns my stomach. The bigotry that some people carry around with them is mind-boggling! Oh wait! Christians LOVE everyone … right? Right?

    • It turned mine also Nan. I worry at what these type of people are trying to accomplish. Now the Florida Democrats introduced a bill that passed to put “in god we trust” in schools. This in response to the school shooting. God did not stop the bullets and I can bet a lot of prayers were being thrown around. So we have even the secular party advocating religion in schools. Kids have no chance at all. Hugs

    • Thank you Mary. It shows that progress can happen in the most places if people of good will try. It is hard to think an Islamic state has better treatment of trans people than the country of the free, the US. Our christians are more restrictive than their Islamist. That must make some heads spin. Hugs
