Defining Freedom … — Filosofa’s Word

Have you noticed that some words seem to have taken on a different meaning in the past few years than they once had? Take, for example, the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). It sounds like a decent organization, right? Let’s break it down a bit … Alliance: a union or association formed for mutual benefit Defending: […]

Again Jill has gotten to the point of a subject and showed it clearly for what it is.   A great read from a grand author.   Hugs

  1. Hi Scottie;
    Some of the people I have always admired the most are people who are confident, truthful, caring and kind. People who really care to know the answer when they say “hello, how are you”. You are one such person. I think that is why people gravitate to you here, and it is why I have always been so honored to name you friend and brother.
    Now, in same regard, if a person were to live his life as a strong moral person who truly cared for people, lived confidently and kindly, successfully and passionately (etc), and someone was so impressed with that person that they just had to ask “how is it that you are such as you are” and that person could tell them about their beliefs, their faith in God, and the moral road they take, it would truly be a powerful witness.
    On the other hand, if a person lives a life of professed hate and degrades his fellow person like these people do, constantly deriding their choices, their loves, their very life and being, of just what are they being a witness? Just who are they attracting? Just who in the world would want to live such a life?

    Hugs my Brother!

    • Thank you Randy. You forget how grand you are, kind and special. Yes I think you are right. One way we “defeated the evil soviet empire” was to show them what we had at the time. In East Berlin the people had nothing and scraped for what they could get. We Americans in West Berlin were actually bussed in to the other side to show them our freedom and what we had. Because I was in an intelligence unit I only went twice, each time with others from my unit and superiors. That is the way we got them to change, the people wanted what they seen us have. Be well.
