  1. Scottie,
I don’t know if you follow John Pavolvitz, but he has a thing on his FB site this morning saying that there are people who are refusing to leave places in jeopardy from the upcoming hurricane b/c they are worried about being housed in places where ICE may pick them up. They’d rather stay in the path of a hurricane than risk temporary housing. . .this is appalling. 😦

    • Yes, it is the same reason so many immigrant kids are in detention. The process of claiming a child as a relative or parent is designed to capture and deport any illegals in the family. Finger printing and investigations. Carmen I am really at a loss. How can people look at other humans, and think they are not as human as you due to skin color. In West Palm Beach we had a lot of Guatemalan workers, some legal and some not. They would do the hot hard job of lawn companies. All day in the sun carrying weed whackers. They were hard workers. Yes there were some small problems, but they lived in the cheapest places, in groups for safety as they were often targets of robbery. All they wanted was the same as everyone else. To work, to live as well as possible, to raise their families. Why should that make them sub human due to their place of birth or ethnic background? I just don’t get this, there are human ways to deal with all of this with out harm and such hate. Hugs

    • I do not have face book so some pages I can’t read. They put a huge banner across the page unless I join up, so I quit trying a while ago. IF you send the link I will try to read the story. Hugs
Ps. Have a good morning and be well. Hugs
