Coast Guard Member Yanked Over White Power Sign

Filed under: Bigotry, News, Political, Questions, Race, Twitter — Scottie @ 12:32

A US Coast Guard member was yanked from his duties on the Hurricane Florence response team after making an “offensive” hand symbol during a MSNBC live TV segment, officials said.

This comes a little more than a week after Republican operative Zina Bash ignited a Twitter controversy when some viewers thought she flashed the symbol during Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing. Some considered it a brazen public promotion of white supremacy during a high-profile government preceding, a theory that went viral in the days after the hearing.

  1. This and that women at the hearing disgust me. I am truly amazed humanity has lasted as long as it has with all the hatred, racism and pure malevolence of humans toward each other, animals and the actual planet we live on.

    • I agree. I thought we were on our way to eliminating bigotry and racism. But boy have they both gained strength from tRump’s election. Hugs

      • I don’t think we were ever on our way. It was just kept under wraps, but now trump and his cult have been released to spew their hatred.
