  1. A point of view that endures long after the war was resolved. A romantic notion of the motivations of their progenitors that reflect the notion of a world the never was. A product of a demagoguery based on the notion that there is straw man responsible for what is wrong with our social and political institutions. This world view is reinforced by a narrative propagated by similar monied Interests the were responsible for our past civil disagreements

    • Well I have been speaking out against the “proud false memories” these people have of the war for so long I really felt you had worded it well. I get angry these are the same people who demand everyone respect and love America and the flag, yet they proudly champion traitors who went to war against America and its flag. This crap of “it is not about slavery it is about states rights”, what the hell right did they thing the confederate states wanted to protect? It was the right to won humans as property, black people as slaves. Yet they scream foul when you point this out. Hugs
