  1. Well, of course. If they find evidence supporting that, it’s no longer a question of whether Kavanaugh gets on the Supreme Court but whether he can stay out of prison.

From the Republicans’ viewpoint this investigation was always meant as squid ink, throwing a sop to those who feel disturbed by Ford’s testimony while minimizing the risk of discovering anything that might actually make Kavanaugh too radioactive to support. Thing is, though, I think they’ve made the cover-up aspect of it too obvious. It won’t satisfy those who were moved by Ford’s account. And Avenatti is not exactly a shrinking violet. If he knows of evidence supporting Swetnick, he’ll get it out there, even if the FBI doesn’t. And a week from now the Republicans will be in the position of trying again to ram Kavanaugh through based on the results of an obvious whitewash of an “investigation” which has persuaded nobody. And that’s assuming the investigation doesn’t find anything. The FBI hates Trump’s guts. I have a feeling they’ll dig as hard as they can during the week they have.

    • I hope your corect. I am discouraged at this point. Really. I try to meet people I disagree with half way and work it from there. The republican way seems to be to start at everything they want and try to get even more. I really hope you are correct because this Kavanaugh is not worthy of the court and will make it a mockery for the next 50 years. Hugs
