    • No but the truth will eat at him if he thinks people know he is no where near as wealthy as he likes to claim, and he is now facing investigation by the state of New York about his taxes. Interesting. Hugs

      • And this is a real reason they want Kavanaugh. If trump pardoned himself, as he would probably do will the Mueller investigation, he would then be likely to have the state of NY file suit. But with the Gamble thing they want passed, he would no longer be able to be perused by NY. Kavanaugh would vote in favor for the ruling to pass the Gamble law, which will come up for vote soon with the Supreme Court

    • His base are a bunch of gibbering Deliverance mutants. To hell with them — they’re a write-off. It’s time people focused on what the other 70% of the country thinks. There is such a thing as swing voters who are reachable, and such a thing as motivating our own base to turn out — something for which we tend to need all the help we can get, especially in non-Presidential election years.

      • I agree. I never thought being “republican lite” was a good idea. I don’t want a republican, if I did I would vote for them. I want a progressive who has policies I agree with and will support. I know we have to have every democrat we can get, but if that democrat is going to support tRump all the time, are they a democrat? I want the party to stop being just like the other party. I want the party to forget trying to pull in the republicans. Those people have their own party and will not switch to vote for us. So we need to have our candidates out there talking about what they can and will push for that helps the people, not corporations or the wealthy. That message resonates with the people. IF Hillary ( and I did support her ) had learned from Bernie and just talked about what she could do to help the lower incomes , been a populists instead of a policy wonk, she would have won. Well she really did anyway, but the point is till the same. People want to hear how you are going to help them, especially the poorest people. You lose them when you get deep into trade deals and minutia of governing. People that are hurting want to know that the people they are electing understand their pain. That is why the republicans are dying out. Hugs

  3. My dad always encourages people to “follow the money.” Following the money results in our discovering unsavory, yet important, stuff.

    • Very true. Your dad was a smart man. Every major crime that was not such as murder, has been solved following a money trail. Even murder can have its money trail. Humans simply don’t do anything with out a reward, and money is the second only to sex. Hugs

      • Yep…so with Trump as well, people must follow the money trail. And with anyone…we must follow (you guessed it) the money trail.
