    • These mega churches are bigger than some stadiums. Aron Ra visited one and told of the ungodly millions they rake in each week. Think of the many people giving up something so they can give money to that church whose preacher has their own private jet ( some times more than one ) and lives in a huge mansion. The church members may have trouble paying their electric bill yet the preacher has every comfort money can buy. Hugs

      • Yes, I have never agreed with that at all. I was raised in the church, but the preacher never got paid even close to what they do now. I don’t think they should be paid at all if they really think they are giving people what they need. Just my opinion:)

        • They have twisted the bible to create the “Property Gospel”. If you have not heard of it, it basically says god loves wealthy people. The more you give the church the more money god will give you back. IF you are not getting more money back it is because your faith is weak and to strengthen it you need to give the church even more money. Gold loves a church with a wealthy pastor. They turn the idea of helping the sick, giving to the needy , feed the hungry, clothing the naked, doing for others around to look down on the meek and those that are poor for you belong to a rich mega church. Hugs

  2. The problem lies in the word Charity ; the church can claim to be a charity and get tax exemption. There has been a major problem in the UK with misappropriation of charities funds ; but where does expense end and charity begin? Just how much of what I put in the box goes to charity ? Are those who give their time and effort to collect voluntarily being taken for a ride by those higher up the charitable tree?
It’s very nice to be known as a charitable person but life’s comforts are very heart-warming as well.
This is just to upset you Scottie because we are good friends : the parable of the widows mite , just about says all there is to say about charity .

    • Hello Kersten. I had to look the story up, I had forgotten it. I think looking at the pictures and knowing what I do about these property gospel I think these churches are as far from the christian ideals as one can get. They are entirely designed to gain money to the preacher and the church with a flashy feel good show to the giver as their only reward. Just like a good show in Vegas. A normal church if I remember has a duty to teach and most have some sort of out reach. The mega churches don’t bother with that , they have book and gift shops for that sort of thing. One of the perks is being able to say you belong, sort of like a country club membership. All way round I think they are an even bigger scam then a regular country church. Have a good one. Hugs
