REPORT: Trump Pressured Japanese PM To Approve Casino Project By GOP Megadonor Sheldon Adelson

Axios reports:

President Trump raised a bid from GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson to build a casino in Japan during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, according to a report from ProPublica‘s Justin Elliott.

Abe and his aides were “incredulous” that Trump “would be so brazen,” according to a source briefed on the conversation.

The project is a top priority for Adelson, who donated $25 million to Trump’s campaign and inauguration, because Japan only recently legalized casinos and the market is considered a “holy grail” in the industry, Elliot notes. Adelson dined with Trump the night prior to the meeting.

    • Nope they celebrate his bold greed. More money for them. That the base supporters will lose their jobs and homes and go hungry because of tRump’s tariff games doesn’t bother then a bit. Hugs,

  3. That’s a disgusting breach of protocol and of manners. Not unexpected in those who worship money but unexpected in a World leader with advisers .

    • Yes David. I see this guy as the boorish uncle who comes to the family reunion and tries to corner anyone he can to tell them about his latest marketing scheme. The UN out right laughed at him. Never in my life has a US president been laughed at by the world body. Hugs
