  1. And what possible difference could that make to people that believe in prophecy, talking burning bush, flying donkey, raising the dead, walking on water, turning perfectly good water into poison grape juice and giving bad advice to those who should know better. Really, if you can believe in gods, nothing is out of the realm of possibility.

    • I foolishly keep thinking that there is a way to help believers see the truth or reality around them. I keep hoping that if we show them something they claim is wrong, it will be a crack in the dam of their faith. Has not happened yet, I keep trying. Hugs

      • It’s similar to what believers say about non-believers … you have to get to a certain point in life where you finally recognize that “God” (the Christian god, of course) is the answer.

By the same token, until believers reach that point on the opposite end of the spectrum, they’ll continue to dig in their heels and insist the bible is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

        • So help me god! 😄😉👍 Yes if they can believe tRump’s lies, and believe god has called for him to be president even with all his moral failings, if they can believe taking kids away from good parents and then adopting the kids out, if they can believe that taking food assistance and health care from the poor is helping them gain dignity… they will believe that 2000 year old book has the wisdom of the ages. Hugs

      • There are many closet atheists and those who doubt their own faith. The Mormons contain many who stick with it rather than break up the family since that religion is very family orientated . Have a look at the evolutionary skeptic on utube he was once an Evangelical Christian. Some move from fundamentalism to mainstream Christianity and of course some are converted from unbelief to belief. We would need figures but certainly in the UK The Church of England is on the decline but church marriages are still popular and many non church goers have their children baptised.

        • Hello Kersten, do you mean Cosmic Skeptic or Genetically Modified Skeptic? I did a search and evolutionary skeptic did not give me anything from YouTube. I think the religious in England are not the ultra religious I normal mean when I talk about religious people. I don’t normal mean people who see the church as a social circle and a place to gather with their friends. No I am talking the fundamentalist who are driven to force their religious views on everyone. Have a good one. Hugs

    • That’s the goal of evangelism and proselytizing
      To create the question
