Rep. Matt Shea takes credit, criticism for document titled ‘Biblical Basis for War’

Filed under: Bigotry, Criminal, Harm, News, Political, Questions, Religion — Scottie @ 09:41

“The document Mr. Shea wrote is not a Sunday school project or an academic study,” Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich wrote in an email. “It is a ‘how to’ manual consistent with the ideology and operating philosophy of the Christian Identity/Aryan Nations movement and the Redoubt movement of the 1990s.”

“The goal of these groups has always been to create a white homeland consisting of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon and Washington,” Knezovich wrote. “The ideas presented in the (biblical war) document are how these groups intend to seize control, by force, should there be a governmental collapse or civil war.”

  1. Oregon too? If this fruitloop ever showed up here in Portland we’d laugh him out of town.

    • I hope so, these people are getting scary. As a gay man I have been the target of “Christians” for a lot of my life. A fundamentalist christian theocracy or even the religious freedom laws being pushed to exempt christians from any laws that they feel are not in line with their religion including the civil rights laws, will target me personally. In large areas of the country LGBTQ+ will become marginalized and less than second class citizens. Hugs
