Common creationist misconceptions

  1. #14 has some great points that could also be used against those who claim “atheism is a religion.” For example, no rituals, no deities, no priests, no temples, no commandments, no rewards for believers. Of course, none of this will put a dent in the solidified gray matter of many who have assumed the title of Christian.

    • Yes, I agree. Do you think they can’t process the idea or simply don’t want to? Hugs

      • A little of both. Most have been so brainwashed — whoops! — indoctrinated that the former is true. The latter helps them validate their belief in fairy tales.

  2. “For God so barfed the world, that he…..”

I saw a clip from (I think) Family Guy once, that showed God at a wild party with a bunch of other guys, and God held a lit match to his ass and farted, and God’s exploding fart coalesced into the galaxies and solar systems, and that was the true origin of the Big Bang. I hope someday somebody will base a religion on this premise. I suspect high-schoolers would take to it more readily than to the laborious and self-contradicting drivel in Genesis.

Seriously, demanding equal time for creationism in schools so “students can decide” is like demanding equal time for the “stork theory” in sex-education classes or for the flat Earth “theory” in geography classes.

    • I love it. I agree with you. We don’t teach any other subjects where the correct information is known and then teach also the wrong information telling the kids to decide which is correct. It makes no sense. Hugs
