Another rabid christian bigot who thinks only Christians should hold office in the US

Filed under: Asshole / Jerk, Atheism, Bigotry, News, Political, Questions, Religion — Scottie @ 10:55

The founders, by the way, were very clear that only Christians should hold public office, so let’s just put that out there.”

  1. Do you have a little corner of a long forgotten State where you breed big mouthed, partisan, religious zealots like this? IAf so, do th world a favour and drop them off a bible so they can mark all these funny little rules that Jesus gave. Unless of course it was in private correspondence last year.

    • Yes these guys and those like him breed all over the south. Some times they escape to the north, but their real habitat is the southern US. We did try to fumigate for them during Obama’s presidency but tRump feed them and now they are out of control. Hugs

  2. By that conspiracy theorist’s logic, then several of the founding fathers wouldn’t be able to hold office according to his own words. Most of them were deists and/or freemasons instead of Christians. I do know George Washington was confirmed to be the former.

    • I agree. But they work hard to convince themselves and everyone else that all the founding fathers were upstanding Christians who god had personally chosen to make a Christian nation. In Texas they make the teachers teach that Moses was the inspiration of the founding fathers and they got our constitution from him. It makes me so anger. Hugs

      • That’s certainly true about appropriating things for it to be a so-called Christian nation. That doesn’t surprise me about Texas doing that. The state’s textbooks and classrooms have been putting sketchy stuff in there.

        • Yes, I follow Aron Ra on YouTube and he goes to the meetings where they decide what to have int he text books. He has videos of them. There are people on the board unabashedly try to force Christianity in to the text books while white washing history to down play anything that looked bad for the US. The changed slavery to something unpaid laborers, made it seem like the US never did a wrong thing in all its history. This year they tried to get rid of Hillary Clinton from the text books, but that failed. Weird how some people feel everyone must do as they do. Hugs

          • Gotcha. I’ve heard about the whole “unpaid laborer” situation before as a way to downplay slavery before. I figured it would be from the same cabal of so-called educators who want to dumb down the students. Although, most textbooks (especially history and geography ones) REALLY downplay things although not as hardcore as those Texas textbook makers. I certainly learned more about African history with one Chiekh Anta Diop book than all of my years in school with world history classes, for example. What they’re doing by sanitizing these texts is turning history into hagiography (metaphorically and literally).
