And the Censorship has begun. Notice headline above the meme. We’re not sure if this image has been removed or is in some kind of tumblr purgatory. Religiously speaking of course.

  1. This is a link to a website:
    patheos.com/blogs/progressivesecularhumanist/2018/12/pennsylvania-supreme-court-rules-names-of-predator-priests-will-be-kept-secret/

This is a limited free ride-ticket because of datoprotection reasons; if these priests ever are set free, to continue with abusing kids: by means of confession, feigning remorse for being forgiven .
This would be the case in any liberal state.
So the responsibility for the abuse of kids an women lies with the Churches – and they would take NO action, as we have seen lots of times in the past.
So kidfucking by priests or clergyman will continue, because those criminal priests just have to confess to other priests in their church and they are forgiven — to continue.
And the Churches will surely not volutarily change confession-laws, unless some of criminal acts of priests are excluded from the “Confessional secret”. We shoud argument into this direction in the public sphere.
In the very long run that might open the possibility, to protect children and w o m e n from being raped, abused of even killed – in the case of murderous nuns.
I am totally dejected to write that.
And as long as I cant do something else, I wil rouse the scene against those kid- and womenfucking Priests and their churches.

    • I read the post the other day. I go to several Patheos hosted blogs daily. I agree what has happened in the churches to cover up abuse is criminal. It is slowly changing with now even higher ups like Cardinals and Bishops being held to courts of law. I think the days of churches simply being able to tell local officials to drop the cases are over. Be well. Hugs

  2. But, dear scottty that doesn’ really matter: all that has been confessed “under the seal of confession” has to be kept secret – under all circumstances including torture –
So priests , bishops and even cardinal can only tell infos, they have been given o f f the seal of confession. I know that for sure; NO clergyman will give any info to prosecuters about “something he has been given under the seal of confession”.
    That’s why I wrote:
Go to church to a priest for confession, feign remorse – the rules of the chure are, that he be forgiven — and start the same cyckle of kidabuse again.
These are the strictest laws of the churches ‘confession secret’.

Everyone has to know that dilemma.

States have concluded so call konkordates with the churches stating the rights of the states and the Churches, even the “Reichskonkolrdat” the catholic pope concluded with Hitler, had a paragraph the accepted the secret of confession. And so have all the religions their Koncordates.

That is why all the abuse-cases are with such high numbers of unrecorded cases

    • That seems backwards to me; it anything, claiming to be above the law should lead to losing legal protections

      • I agree, but I have read some Catholic leaders are claiming they will not obey any “mans” laws that require them to violate the confessional secrecy. They claim they are following “gods” laws which they claim takes priority. Hugs

  3. I June Australia expanded its law requiring reporting of sex abuse to specifically cover churches, “sacrament” of the confessional be damned. The hard-line Catholics pitched a bitch about it, but I expect more and more countries will pass such laws, if they don’t already have them. After all that’s been revealed about the church as an institution shielding molesters, governments are in no mood to coddle these people any longer.

    • I hope the governments do not back down. I read somewhere that one of the church leaders said they wouldn’t honor any laws that violated the confidential nature of the confessional. Until an abuser was caught there is no way to know if the priest knew or not. Hugs

  4. Hi Infidel,
but what could investigators do, if the Churches just reused to cooperate as they do right now.
Here in Germany iven the Church gave prosecutor more than 1800 case of child abuse of more than 400 children, but the infos were so much filtered that some prosecutors in Germnany said they would no help

    • Well, they could arrest people who don’t cooperate and charge them with violating the law, just like they do in any other similar situation. A lot of priests have gone to prison for molestation, and the higher-ups aren’t immune if they’re convicted of being accessories. Dioceses have been sued into bankruptcy by victims. This is not the 14th century. Just wearing silly clothes and claiming you have an imaginary friend doesn’t make people immune from the law.
