Islamic Feminism – Debunked (Yassmin Abdel-Magied Hitchslapped)

Filed under: History, Ideas, opinion, Questions, Religion — Scottie @ 07:26

There has been a lot of debate here on my Toy Box about Islam and what it really is about, means, or practices.   I have my own opinions and views as someone not in a Islamic run country, and not a member of the faith.   I have seen the comments here that range from supportive to arguing that Islam is a danger to the whole world.  I admit I am confused by this subject, but I live in a country where there use to be a separation between government and religion, something the Christians are trying their best to destroy.  They may not like the result of their actions on this subject.   So I offer this video for discussion.  I look forward to hearing from everyone.  Hugs

  1. World domination is the goal. Instructions for LYING in defense of the faith is a virtue.

    • Hello Nation. I value your knowledge, but I have to have you explain it to me. You make a statement, others refute it. I am trying to find the truth of all this. Can you expand your view. Also can you give me an idea of how your world view, where you live, things you have personally seen, how things influence your view on all of this. Thanks . Hugs

  2. She certainly has a lot to say for herself and is very intelligent and well educated with a degree in engineering. This young lady is a lesson to those who believe in education as a means of setting the mind free from prejudice and error . The sciences are particularly dangerous ground if they are studied exclusively. This video tackles her assertions point by point and finds only a minimal amount of truth in her concept of Islam. I suspect if she had to spend a few years in Saudi Arabia she would come to her senses purely by experience.
The trouble with the free world is it makes us lose all concept of just what it is like to live outside of the democratic west.
Interestingly she is doing what I have heard many intelligent western Christians do and that is diluting down the unpleasant side of her faith.
Being a woman makes her validation of Islam much more difficult because she has to fight the secular advantages shown to men in her field of work. Time often brings us to our senses and there is nothing so valuable as failure to build character.

    • Thank you Kersten. I wanted this post to have a lot of comments from people. The problem I have is I see Islam through the eyes of a guy in the southern US who has only met one Muslim . I need to hear others interactions and others view to really understand. It doesn’t help that people like this lady claim Islam is all fuzzy and warm. There has to be a mid point, or a point where we can say fact is this…
But so far all I can find are either hate views, love views, or misdirected views. I use to blog and email with a guy in Pakistan who was gay. He was in the higher income so felt he was safe. He mentioned things were getting bad for him, and then he disappeared. Nothing for two years. I sent emails and no response. I think he is either in jail or dead. So I need someone to tell me how you can support that sort of religion. The young lady I was talking to about Islam says that Islam never supports the harming of others. Yet evidence shows otherwise. Hugs
