Trump Admin Moves To Restrict Food Stamps Eligibility

If there was work available that a person could do while having childcare and necessary flexibility while paying a wage high enough to afford to feed yourself and your children you wouldn’t need these laws.  The fact is that the single largest group needing food assistance is military families.   One of the largest groups is also low income workers like walmart employees.  People seem to forget for a mother to go work even part time she needs to have childcare, yet none of these programs provide it, nor give an exception for mothers who have no one to look after their children.    It is being between a rock and a hard place, there is no way for a mother to win.  I find it interesting that republicans view wealth.  To get the wealthy to do more they give them tax cuts and rebates.  To get the poor to do more they take away any support or assistance they get.  Really seems backwards to me.  Hugs

    I love how right-wing bloggers always assert that if right-wing militia types rebelled against a future Democratic government, the military would side with them against the government instead of suppressing the uprising. Aside from the fact that the rank-and-file of the Army is disproportionately black and Latino, Trump isn’t winning any brownie points with them with this kind of shit.

  2. WTF? Punish the poor much?
    Well that means our homeless and poor are gonna need more help from private citizens like me. I wish I could withhold the taxes I pay and instead give it to places that will help those in need.

    • Shoot I had forgotten to factor in homelessness. I love that some people step up and give what they can. I love people are willing, and even some religions are willing to help with out also trying to convert. I follow several blogs of people who are part of churches that do great social work without ever trying to force religion on those in need. But why should it depend on the good will of a minority to help the ones who need it? Is that not something the government should be doing? at any and every level, local , state wide, federal?

      We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
