Steve King: “White Supremacist” Isn’t Offensive To Me

Filed under: Asshole / Jerk, Bigotry, Fascism, News, Political, Questions, Race — Scottie @ 11:35

The Hill reports:

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) is questioning how terms such as “white nationalist” and “white supremacist” became offensive in the U.S. “White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?” King asked in an interview with The New York Times published on Thursday. “Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?”

  2. “white people have contributed more to civilization than any other subgroup.”
He keeps a miniature Confederate battle flag on the desk of his congressional office
tweeted that “mixing cultures will not lead to a higher quality of life but a lower one”
Endorsed a far-right Austrian party that was founded by Nazis, and is currently led by a former neo-Nazi
Insists that “the West can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies”
    He likens immigrants to “dirt.”

Are you really suprised still by this man? I hope not….

    • Hello Michelle. I agree. What hurts is this man gets elected. It has been widely known for years he is a white supremacist racist. What is wrong with the people that vote for him. What is wrong with the people in this country and the world. He says “the West can’t restore our civilization with somebody else’s babies” but I ask restore what? Also they are not someone else babies, they are American babies. They are our babies. As for Native Americans and bigotry, I read recently about what is faced by the Native Americans in the northern midwest and it sickens me. That anyone can treat other humans this way baffles me. Hugs
