  1. Nowhere in the Koran does it say you are going to hell for being a Christian.

    • Hello SAQ. I think you missed the point. The idea is Pascal’s wager. Pascal’s Wager is an argument in philosophy presented by the seventeenth-century French philosopher, mathematician and physicist Blaise Pascal (1623–1662). It posits that humans bet with their lives that God either exists or does not. So the point was if god exists and you don’t worship him you go to hell. The problem most Christians do not catch is that if some other god exists but not the Christian god, the Christians lose the wager. Hugs

  2. Got this somewhere….

Religion is about power and control.

Think about it: if you become a devout Christian, your church will tell you that you will most likely go to Christian heaven. But, you’ve got a one-way ticket to Muslim hell according to their faith teaching.
And what about all of the negative consequences from all the other religions?

If, however, you don’t believe in God, you have a 100% chance of going to all hells, provided hells actually exist. My spell-checker tells me that “hells” isn’t even a word, so take this for what it’s worth.

In the end, each religion assumes that it is the one true faith. But, there are at least 5 major religions with more than 100 million adherents. This would suggest that something approaching 75% of the world’s population is effectively guaranteed to go to hell.

It seems to me that an all-knowing, all-powerful God could probably come up with a better system than that.
And there’s your answer: God didn’t come up with religion. We did. People used faith and religion as a tool of control.

    • Hello Mary. I agree, you summed it up very well. Now I have in interesting puzzle to figure out. SilverAppleQueen says the Koran doesn’t say Christians will go to hell. You say it is a one way ticket to Muslim hell to be Christian. Is that in the hadiths ? Michelle if your reading this you are the resident expert on Islam, do they have a hell and who goes there? Hugs

  3. The end point is that there is no Hell, period. It’s designed to set up an us versus them mentality and we know where this has led to over the centuries.
Bad people ultimately do what they want and find a quote or twist a verse to back up their actions.

    • Hello Mary. Yes that is true. But the meme was about people who try to use Pascal’s wager to say people should follow their Christian god or they will go to hell. Which means that if there is another deity not the Christian one, they still go to hell. Hugs
