Pompeo Cheers Shrinking Sea Ice For Clearing Trade Routes: “The Arctic Is At The Forefront Of Abundance”

To hell with the environment and the life that needs the habitat we are destroying as long as we can get a few more barrels of oil and dig out a few more  minerals.  Greed is destroying life and these administration demands more death for connivance.   Hugs

Pompeo Cheers Shrinking Sea Ice For Clearing Trade Routes: “The Arctic Is At The Forefront Of Abundance”

“The Arctic is at the forefront of opportunity and abundance,” Pompeo said in remarks in Rovaniemi, Finland. “It houses 13 percent of the world’s undiscovered oil, 30 percent of its undiscovered gas, an abundance of uranium, rare earth minerals, gold, diamonds, and millions of square miles of untapped resources, fisheries galore.”

“Steady reductions in sea ice are opening new passageways and new opportunities for trade,” he continued. “This could potentially slash the time it takes to travel between Asia and the West by as much as 20 days.”

    • Hello Ospreyshire. Pompeo is an evangelical Christian who believes in the rapture and end times crap. So for him destroying the environment means nothing because the lord is in control and will destroy it all in the end anyway. In fact the worse they make it the quicker the end times come they think. Sick. Hugs

      • Oh, yeah. I got that vibe from Pompeo, but these quotes confirmed that suspicion. That mindset of destroying the planet is beyond counterproductive. Also, someone like Pompeo who claims to be Christian, it’s hilarious if it wasn’t so tragic that he failed to realize that the rapture isn’t in the bible. Leave the Left Behind books alone, Pompeo! It certainly is sick.

      • For those who believe this, they should be forced to write out the definition of s\”stewardship” a thousand times. Also, their landlords should probably take a look around their premises often.

        • Hello MDavis. Yes it might be a good idea to have health and safety checks on them regularly. Hugs

          • Health and safety checks – you are much nicer than I am. I was thinking that they have put on display how they treat property which they claim belongs to their god, so there is nothing to keep them from trashing anything a mere mortal landlord rents to them. And mere mortal landlords aren’t omniscient and might be putting their livelihoods on the line when they rent, so they need to be careful.
