Pastor Who Works for TN Police Dept. Says Gays Should Be Executed By Police

This is a fascist take over of government by religion.  When they get done coming for the LGBTQ+ they will come for all the rest who do not worship the hateful vengeance smiting god they do.   Ready for Christian Sharia laws?   Hugs

Pastor Who Works for TN Police Dept. Says Gays Should Be Executed By Police

Last week, Pastor Greg Fritts did what so many of these nasty pastors (Nastors?) do and said the Bible calls for the execution of LGBTQ people at the hands of the government.

… The Bible says that they’re worthy of death. The Bible says that the government — somebody stands up, “Oh, I’m LGBTQ” — here’s how it should work: It shouldn’t work where we go out and we enforce the laws, because the Bible says the powers that be are ordained of God, and God has instilled the power of civil government to send the police in 2019 out to these LGBT freaks and arrest them and have a trial for them and if they are convicted than they are to be put to death.

Do you understand that? It is a capital crime that should be carried out by our government. Not Christians… unless you’re a policeman, you know what I mean? If you’re a policeman, then you know what? It should be your responsibility to carry these things out

Oh, by the way, Fritts works for a police department.

No wonder he laughed as he talked about how the police should be executing gay people.

These pastors always say they’re speaking in hypotheticals — about what the Bible says we ought to do — and that they are not inciting their congregations to kill gay people. But considering the people who attend these churches have even less of a reason to hold back, it won’t be long before one of them takes matters into his own hands.

For a law enforcement official to brag about how law enforcement officials have a biblical right to murder gay people is truly frightening. No LGBTQ person should feel safe when this is the sort of person Knox County hires to protect them.

  2. Ow – another one bent my brain.
According to Obvious Man’s Sidekick, and going by the description rather than the video, this translates out to:
“My holy book says that police should enforce secular law. Therefore, police should enforce (my interpretation of) the law laid out in my holy book.” So he’s supporting violation of the law the police are sworn to uphold in the name of enforcing some other law that the police are not sworn to uphold (and by the higher, that is Constituional, law).
    Yeesh. Two things.
1 – Ambiguity: Using double meanings or ambiguities of language to mislead or misrepresent the truth. That’s from “yourlogicalfaliacyis (dot) com.
2 – Perhaps he should be arrested and executed for “Wearing a grey suit while giving a hate speech” or for “Infiltrating the government in order to impose religious rules indiscriminately through abuse of influence”. I’m pretty sure that either of these are capital offences in somebody’s book.

    • Hello MDavis. I found him to be a rather angry man. The thing with all these new FIB churches wanting the government to kill those they claim their bible calls to die seem to not realize that their holy book is not the law, and the police as you say don’t enforce those laws. Yet they very much want to not only blur those lines but to destroy them. They are demanding and working towards a country run as a theocracy of their making. Like the Islamic Mullahs. They are vicious hateful people who revel in hurting others. Hugs
