Police racism reinforces the bias.

Black child assumed guilty.

White man assumed innocent.

Police racism reinforces the bias.

  1. Absolutely appalling. Now it’s state sponsored.

    • Hello bereavedandbeingasingleparent. Gary it was horrible what they did to that black child. The entire thing was caught on camera. The police car zoomed into the area, and with in several seconds they killed the boy. A 12 year old child playing in a public park. They drove up and the officer on the passenger side simply opened his door and opened fire. They did not ask any questions nor did they take any protective actions, they simply zoomed in and killed him. The officers did not expect there to be video but even with the video showing the killed the child with in only 2 seconds the officers never faced any punishment. It is horribly racist and is horribly fascism. If you want to see the video I posted it here on my Toy Box, and you can google it. If you can not find it let me know. Hugs

  2. I was looking for some of the news reports about the white guy–didn’t get too far yet (still looking). But I have to wonder, even though the cops weren’t there and an off-duty firefighter basically had him til police arrived…what the hell was he going to do? Why didn’t anybody shoot the guy?

I have to wonder what would happen had that guy done that here in Texas, where open carry is allowed and so many people conceal carry… would some “good guy” have shot him, or would they have let him be thinking it was a dumb joke?

i just have to shake my head at how bizarre and just completely wrong this situation is. There are no words I can think of, other than wrong. The disparity is completely wrong.

Actually, I wonder how many people are willing to open carry in Texas now that these shootings are so prevalent and people freak out. I don’t think I’ve actually seen anyone open carry, though many talked about it when the law first came in a few years ago…namely the John Wayne wannabes. I’d never open carry, that’s for sure.

    • Hello TheChattyIntrovert. I posted on him here https://scottiestoybox.com/2019/08/10/nbc-news-armed-man-who-sparked-panic-at-missouri-walmart-is-charged/ . As for open carry I remember the comment from the band members in Nevada. At the time they did not know where the shots were coming from and they said they did not pull their guns because they were afraid when the police showed up the police would think they are the shooters.

I read a great meme the other day about the El Paso shooting. If the idea of a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun, I think the Walmart shooting in Texas put that idea to bed. As you say Texas is a big gun state, open carry, yet the Walmart shooter shot all those people and then left, went to his car and started to leave with no good guy stopping him. He seen the cops coming and got out of the car and told him he was the shooter.

I really like your “John Wayne wannabes”! I think that fits them so well. Be well today. Hugs
