  1. Please note – this does not apply to old school conservatives, what we used to call “conservatives”.
It’s sort of like “feminist” does not apply to old school feminists. Those old school ones were interested in having the same rights as males and, if asked, would probably tell you that everyone should have those rights. “feminists” as currently defined by the propaganda hate Rush Limbaugh, but only because he is male, not because he is an execrable excuse for a human.
Conservatives who once couldn’t wrap their heads around the idea that woman should have their own identities, just like them, are now having their descriptive poisoned. I find it sad, rather than cathartic.

    • Hello MDavis. I find that the old conservatives are like the old republicans, they have died out or been assimilated. I listen to Bill Weld today claim that there are still Republicans that are not part of the cult of tRump. Yet even he admitted the party was rigging it so no one could challenge tRump in a primary. The Party is the cult of tRump. So in truth there is no Republicans who are not part of the cult of tRump and people like Weld do not get to call themselves Republicans as they are not part of the party. They need a new name. Hugs

  2. I’ve been seeing comments from people who say they used to be Republicans, but they aren’t any more. Also, they aren’t the ones who have changed, that their party has been taken over. Those are the conservatives I’m thinking of. The ones with whom you can still have a discussion without it descending quickly into screaming and namecalling.
So your observation meshes with mine, I think.

    • Hello MDavis. Yes I agree. I think there are former Republicans. I think they may have valued the ideas they thought the party had, even though in practice the party never follow the words they preached. These former Republicans now need to do what parties in the past did when they split, take a new name and use it to gain new followers who are dissatisfied with the the cult of tRump. Hugs
