Christian Hate-Preacher: To Those Who Respect Gay People, “Are You Insane?”

Filed under: Asshole / Jerk, Bigotry, Gender, Harm, Hate, Homosexual, LGBTQ, News, Questions, Religion, Sex — Scottie @ 07:37

Again another religious leader who demands respect for his religion, demands Christianity be given special privileges but can not even treat LGBTQ people with respect, instead hatefully demanding their elimination.  Religious hate on full display.

Christian Hate-Preacher: To Those Who Respect Gay People, “Are You Insane?”

Pastor Tommy McMurtry of Liberty Baptist Church in Illinois is one of those New Independent Fundamentalist Baptist preachers whose every sermon seems to be a hate-filled diatribe against LGBTQ people. A few months ago, he delivered a sermon in which he longed for the good old days when being anti-gay was respected: Those were the days, he said, when we “put [gay people] in their place: six feet under. And unfortunately, we have forgotten that in our country.”

He’s still preaching the same sort of hate in the name of Christianity.

    • Hello Keith. To these folks that rule is “He who has the gold makes the rules”. These are seriously dangerous unhinged hateful people. If you have a free minute or two look up the NIFB. They are really a scary group who make a point out of wanting to take out old testiment jsutice on LGBTQ people. They advocate the death by governemnt of all LGBTQ and celabrate any harm done to our community. And what is worse they are gaining followers fast. Hugs

  2. Scottie, there is an old saying, if you ever want to create an atheist have them read the old testament. Preaching exclusion is causing a demise in religion in the US. Keith

    • Hello Keith. I think you are correct. The younger generations do not like that their friends are being targeted and insulted. However sadly there are always a percentage of young people indoctrinated by their parents and church to hate what they do not even understand. I read some religious figure wanted higher education banned in the US because he felt it drew people from the religions. He is right, because as you get out from the daily constant indoctrination and meet other people most expand their understanding and change their view of the world and the people in it. Hugs
