Woman tried to kill her kids, claims husband “hexed” her

A Lake City woman says she attempted to kill her four children — ages 6 to 13 — because her husband “put a hex” on her.

According to the arrest affidavit, Williams told the children to take off their seatbelts and stretch out their hands.

Williams then told the children, “The devil can’t hurt you, he only hurts bad people. You have the light of Jesus in you and only Jesus can cure us.”

She then slammed the minivan into a palm tree.

Witnesses told police that the van was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the tree.

Williams and three of the children were taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville. The other child was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

  1. Hi Scottie;

    Stories like this, as sad and horrible as they are, need to be kept in a database somewhere convenient for the next time some asshat says that a gay couple can’t adopt because their lifestyle is unhealthy for the children.

    hugs!

    • Hello Randy. I agree. I bet somewhere some enterprising OCD compulsive person is doing that. Hey happy weekend. Hope you are off. Hugs

  2. Want to know how this plays out? She gets convicted for neglect/attemtped murder, then walks on appeal.

    Oh, and hubby gets the kids.

    • Hello Shelldigger. I just hope the kids were not too badly hurt. Hard to believe that if a non-religious person does this they would have no excuse, yet a religious person does? How to ever correct the warped world view of those kids? Hugs
