  1. To anyone who believes that this country was founded on religious principles I recommend THE FOUNDING MYTH by Andrew Seidel. He puts that notion to bed. Just say’n.

    • Hello Nation. YES! I have listened to him on podcasts explain all of this, seen him give interviews where he refutes that myth. It scares me how many people are convinced this country was founded by super religious Christians who wanted this to be a democracy based theocracy. I have listened to people like Bryan Fischer among others who claim the only religion allowed to have rights is Christianity because none of the founders were any other religion. Hugs

      • Bald faced untruths are Christianity’s carte blanche. It’s good for any occasion, all around the world, in every language and in any context. You might say it’s their assumed inalienable right. You’re damned right it’s scary.

        • Hello nationofnope. Yes but their followers buy into it with everything they have and become an army of people to force everyone to follow their leaders demands. How do we stop this runaway train that threatens our democracy and human rights? Hugs

  2. Wish Pence and Pompeo could read this. When “RELIGIOUS FREEDOM” means the freedom to believe ONLY means in an evangelical christian god, that is not freedom at all. There is absolutely no one stopping you from believing what you want to believe, yet you want to stop those who do not believe as you do from believing what they want to believe. THAT IS RELIGIOUS TERRORISM! The USofA does not support religious terrorism. But you do.

    • Hello Rawgod. Yes. Their idea of religious freedom is the ability to force others to follow the doctrines of their church and live according to their religious rules. Religious freedom to them is the freedom to oppress others. Hugs

      • That’s the word I was looking for. Oppression. Thanks. (Old age is robbing me of more words every day. By the time I die I’ll be back to using Ugh!)

        • Old age is robbing me of more words every day. — Wait until you get where I am (trust me, it’s older than you). You’ll get to the point where you have to pretty much carry a dictionary or thesaurus around with you. 😀

          • Seems to me we’ve discussed this before, but no matter. Old age is relative, just like everything else. When the body starts to fail in many areas at once, it is getting old. 1949.

  3. Hi Scottie;
    I have grown so very tired of these who thump their chests and proudly declare how they have protected the freedom to practice religion. In America, some incredibly serious things would have to flip a full 180 degrees to get to the point where it is not legal to practice religion, where people are not free to practice religion. In every small town in every county in Michigan you will find two things: a bar and a church. Sometimes there isn’t a bar. These people drink at home.

    Hugs!
