  1. Gasp! Surely you’re not suggesting the greatest nation on Earth is a sham? Sigh. 🙂

    • Hello Notes To Ponder. Shocking isn’t it? I hate the nationalistic jingoism that keeps people from seeing how much better things could be. Every country has good things, and bad things. Sadly the worse off a country the more cheerleading those in power will engage in. I hate that a large part of the US population thinks we are the best of everything and are #1 in the world. It is simply not true. Hugs

      • Follow the money used to mean something. How, why does America let these scoundrels get away with it? Yikes!

        • Hello Notes To Ponder. It is the frog in a heating pot idea. The saying goes if you turn the heat up slowly the frog doesn’t try to jump out. This has been building a long time at least since the 1980’s. Republicans realized that demographically their ideas and views were in decline. They were fast becoming a minority party. Republicans crave power and feel they have a right to rule ( force their way on others which is why so many of them are evangelical Christians ) so they started to rig the system. Over they years as they got away with stuff they went further to entrench themselves in power. When the courts ruled politicians can take unlimited corporate / wealthy money the wealthy basically bought politicians of all parties. The US is now a shell of a democracy and this may very well be our last chance to save democracy in our country. Hugs
