  1. From what I’ve read, his tweet was borderline intimidation. Certainly it would be great if it could be legally added to the list of impeachment charges, but dang! He continues to get away with soooo much, I’m not going to hold my breath.

    • Hello Nan. I know videos are hard for you. In the video of the hearing Chairman Schiff interrupted and read the tweet and asked the Ambassador how she felt and what she thought it meant. She replied that while she couldn’t speak for what tRump was thinking she felt it was very intimidating and threatening. At that point Schiff told her there he wanted her to know there were people there that still took witness intimidation very seriously. He was basically telegraphing to her and to the Republicans that it would be added to the impeachment articles and also they needed to stop trying to do that to the whistleblower. I watched the Sunday morning news shows and there were only a couple defenders of tRump and most of them did badly. However they did not get the point as everyone of them kept coming back to the whistleblower and how this was all started because the person hated tRump and wanted to bring him down. They seem to think they can make it stick that the whistleblower made it all up and we only have that information. But I am biased so… But it is getting more clear each day what tRump did and what it cost to Ukraine in lives and their countries territory and that it directly benefited Putin / Russia. The more elections the Republicans lose the more pressure on them to address it. The ones like Susan Collins can not afford to give him a pass nor can they afford to have him attack them. It will be interesting to see which self preservation mode wins. Hugs

      • Scottie, I did semi-watch the proceedings on my computer via YouTube (it was on in the background and I would click over every so often). It goes without saying the quality was far above the videos put out by the average “You-Tuber.” In fact, even though I had Closed Caption turned on, I could clearly hear and understand the speakers.

Having said this, I am aware of Schiff’s question and her response. But I’m still not sure it can be officially considered as an impeachable offense. I suppose we’ll find out sooner or later.

At this point, the whistleblower is pretty much the ONLY “defense” the Repukes can turn to. I’m sure they think that once they know who it is, they can point the finger and make accusations that the person wasn’t “qualified” to make a judgement … or s/he misunderstood tRumpsky’s intent … or … (as you mentioned) s/he just wanted to bring him down. Or any number of OTHER reasons why this person can’t be used against their leader’s “impeccable” character. In other words, they’ll come up with SOMETHING to discredit the person.

The depressing part about all this is even though the Dems make their case, nothing will come of it except in the history books.

        • Hello Nan. Have heart, this is hurting his poll numbers and according to them he has lost support in the country as more stuff comes out. We can hope people wake up. Hugs
