Fox Contributor Ken Starr: Maybe It’s Time For GOP Senators To Visit Trump And Ask For His Resignation

Are the dominoes starting to fall?   I really hope so.  The crime is clear.  The witnesses have spoken.  The only way to defend the crimes of this administration is to say you do no longer care about laws, about the country, about democracy but instead you care about power and keeping it.  We need to understand defending tRump at this point is saying he is above all the laws and he is a ruler not a president.  Hugs

Fox Contributor Ken Starr: Maybe It’s Time For GOP Senators To Visit Trump And Ask For His Resignation

The Daily Beast reports:

Moments before Wednesday’s impeachment hearings and right after U.S. Ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland’s opening statement was released, Fox News contributor Ken Starr wondered aloud whether Sondland flipping on President Trump would cause GOP senators to push Trump to resign. “The real issue is the senators are watching,” Starr said.

“Are senators going to now say in light of what we hear today, it’s going to be a long day even with the ambassador alone, in light of what we have heard, ‘We need to make a trip down to the White House’? That historic example set during the Nixon presidency. From what I’ve been able to glean I don’t think that’s going to happen. But obviously what happens today could—has the potential to be a game-changer.”

Scottie, today with Fiona Hill and David Holmes, two very credible witnesses again testified. Gordon Sondland did huge damage, but he has some culpability in this. Holmes is not only capable, he took notes and remember details. Sondland purposefully did not remember a couple of things.

Each of the witnesses that have testified have concerned themselves with how important Ukraine is to America. We are not hearing this from the president – he is more concerned with himself, as per his modus operandi.

To me it also shows three major points:
    – Trump governs by what he hears on these asinine talk shows he watches. He has the best intelligence group in the world, but he would rather believe people like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham et al. Ukraine is hugely important, but he believes they, not the Russian influenced election.
    – What happened to Rudy Guiliani? How did he go from America’s mayor to acting so unethically and illegally?
    – Trump is the most corrupt and untruthful president in my lifetime and that includes Richard Nixon? There are too many why questions that go unanswered. Why shadow diplomacy with the unvetted Guiliani? Why the obstruction? Why the masking of the phone call? Why not support Ukraine at such a key time rather than throw it all away?
This is a national security issue. Do not let anyone say it is not. Trump is endangering America around the globe and feeding right in to Putin’s desires. And, we must say this, whether intended or not, Putin has a convenient stooge in the White House.

Hello Keith. Very true. Putin is pushing the idea that it was Ukraine that attacked our 2016 election and it seems tRump has bought into it. If Russia is excused from having interfered in the 2016 election then the sanctions they desperately want removed have no basis and can be dropped. I am watching the hearings online by backing the streaming back in time, as I was not able to see it this morning. I have found each of the hearings very informative and I find the actions of Nunes and Jordan embarrassing and deceitful. Nunes just out right lies and makes stuff up and he spouts conspiracy theories as proven facts. Jordan is simply a poo flinging monkey. Hugs

Hello Keith. Oh and along with my last reply I wanted to add that other than Judge Napolitano and Chris Wallace I have not seen any other Republicans give an inch. Do you think any Republicans will admit tRump did anything wrong? Hugs

Scottie. Nunes has little credibilty. The partisan report he cited today was refuted by GOP Senator Richard Burr who leads the Senate intelligence committee. Burr even went to Speaker Paul Ryan to suppress the report as his committee did not agree with its findings. True story.

Is it changing minds? Maybe some. Today. Hill and Holmes showed credibility and should be heeded. Keith
