Warren healthcare plan roll out is interesting

  1. I suppose some action on this issue is better than none, but again … I have serious doubts it’s going to fly. Hopefully, if she or Bernie get elected, it will start the ball rolling for real, but unless they can actually institute a plan before 2024 (when the Repukes might once again gain control), it’s really an iffy situation.

    • Hello Nan. I agree. Surprised? Obama ran on Medicare For All. He had a democratic congress. He only was able to to the ACA, which was a huge improvement but not the best that we need, in part because he kept compromising with the Republicans to get their support, which they denied away. The problem is not just the Republicans but also the “blue dog Democrats” who are really Republican lite who are sponsored so heavily by corporations to be left on some social issues while protecting all the privileges and benefits business get. I really dislike them. But as you say it is a start. We have to do something. Even the doctors and all the staff that Ron still works with admit the situation can not keep going as it is. It is dying and with out serious change it will fully die. That is a heck of a change from when I stopped working at the hospital in early 2014. Then most doctors wanted to keep their profits. Now the Medical Associations are for single payer. Hugs
