  1. It’s so unfortunate, as real Christianity and science can live in peace within the same person. I know this
for a personal fact. And, not using evidence and facts leads to far more unChristlike behavior than learning
and applying science and other evidence-based curricula.

    • Hello Ali. I understand that , you know that, but there are some people who are convinced that science is a plot by Satan to destroy the souls of man and keep them from god. I seen it just this morning as I do most days on my morning reads. The more fanatical / evangelical / fundamentalist the more they deny reality, science, and dismiss the educated people who studied these things all their lives. They totally dismiss the wonderful gains we have made in understanding reality and knowledge to instead wallow in superstitions and iron age beliefs of goat herders over 2000 years ago. They do not use faith as a spiritual aid to better themselves, they use it as a weapon against others and a tool of superiority for themselves. This makes them dangerous. The fact that they have now gotten themselves woven tightly into the government of the country is even more scary. Egypt used to be a secular country, one of freedom and civil rights. A progressive country. Then a president was elected and to increase his power he got tight with the powerful Islamic groups. He gave the more extreme of them power in exchange for their total backing. Egypt now is a theocratic dictatorship. Being an atheist is now punishable by imprisonment and death. All of this happened in less than a decade. The president used the religious fanatics to enforce his will , to incite the people against his enemies, and change the constitution of the country to give him all the power. It can and is happening here. Hugs

        • Hello Nan. What amazes me is the people who say that the deep inclusion of these rabid religious groups in to government is not a worry. We have seen this before in history and in modern day. It is like the cycle of fascism that takes over, it keeps happening over and over. It rises, we smack it down after a time of destruction, and yet it somehow comes back. Right now is a seriously troubling time on the world stage. What could happen next frightens me. Hugs

Hopefully the stats are correct that a majority of people think he should be removed via impeachment. However, those are merely numbers. ACTIONS are the only thing what’s going to get us back on track.

            • Hello Nan. I agree but we also must have a plan to deal with the damage done that will stay with us for at least the next 30 years. The courts. Last count I seen were 130 life time appointment of WHITE young ideologue judges, with another 8 teed up for the next week. Three years in and not one black judge has been nominated or approved. This is a serious threat to our country that must be dealt with. Hugs

              • Hello Ali. Yes! We tend to forget the Republicans made a large effort to turn the state governments red, then once in power they changed to rule to rig the system and keep themselves in power. Basically they looked ahead, seen they were losing worse party members every year so did everything they could to cement their own power. Hugs

      • Agreed. I was agreeing with the post, not trying to defend these fanatics, who still don’t know whereof they speak, but they are armed.

        • Hello Ali. I understand, I know you were not like them. Yes they love them guns, don’t they. Scary people so full of hate, so unquestioning of dogma, and having weapons that can kill and injure large numbers of people. Hugs
