6 thoughts on “Tax cuts for the wealthy do not help the economy

Economic policy is something that’s been worrying me a lot lately, Scottie. Especially with Biden in the race.

I know it’s a little off-topic of this post, but I’ve been wondering if part of the blame of Trump’s election can be placed on the Obama administration. What I mean is the lack of indictments after the 2008 economic recession, indifference towards people who lost their houses, and the escalation of privileges for the rich. To be fair, I don’t think it was anything intentional. Rather, I think it was a gross oversight that left people disgruntled enough to stay home or worse, vote for Trump.

I really hope Biden doesn’t get the nomination.

Hello Sirius Bizinus. I think you make some really great points. I think that people felt left behind, that only the wealthy or big corporations mattered to both parties, working poor felt that life had become too much of a struggle while they watched what seemed to be a privileged class have no economic worries. Yes I think you are correct. I hope the nominee is Warren. I like her plans. Hugs

This meme clearly lays out the financial picture in easy-to-understand words. Yet your “friend” and mine, Dylan, is unable to see/understand this (or refuses to) and tries to counteract it with essay-type comments. I guess his strategy is to confound his opponents with words.

Hello Nan. I agree. I think when you are indoctrinated and marinated in a follow the group no matter what, believe what you are told and do not think about it your self model, it is hard to break out of it. Same thing gets pushed in churches. Seems to me Dylan is been pushed that way by both. His about page says he has been home schooled, so his interaction with other ideas may be limited. I have a comment of his I need to respond too, but I got a really late start today and it will be tomorrow before I can get to it I think. Hugs
