  1. His last sentence sums it up quite well!

    • Hello Nan. I am worried. Biden is failing, that is clear. He gets worse as the sun goes down. During the day he is clear of speech and at night he is stumbling and quick to just stop. We already have an older president who clearly is showing signs of mental decline. I am not being partizan on this, Jerry Nadler is 72 years old and while it was said he is really smart when he talked or had to make a ruling during the hearings it was shambling, shuddering, hesitant. When reading from a script he is OK, but not in the moment. Pelosi is the same. I hate hearing her on the talk shows as she is really showing her age. She maybe smart as all get out, but she talks like someone in mental decline, with a thin reedy voice, pausing, and starting words to only stop and use a different one. It is the quick wit in the moment problem. But it is not just the Democrats. I watched McConnell today in the Senate trial where he was reading from his papers and his voice was thin, weak, stammering. We need younger leadership in government. Why should the majority of the country which is in their 30’s to 40’s if not younger have political leaders in their 70’s and above? How can they relate the the world around them that has changed so much from when they were in their prime? Hugs

      • I can’t agree more!!! Whether anyone wants to admit it or not … age DOES make a difference. I see it in myself … forgetting words being the biggest stumbling block but other signs as well. It’s just part of the process and anyone that ignores it in the candidates is doing so at their peril.

I found it interesting that you mentioned the stuff about Pelosi as I’ve noticed the same thing but haven’t seen any news items addressing it — which I’ve found rather strange since they’re been raking tRumpky over the coals regarding his age goofs. Maybe I’m just not looking in the right places? 😛

I’m so afraid Biden is going to get the nomination … for the reasons we’ve discussed before. The majority of voters don’t pay that much attention. And I doubt very many watch the debates where his missteps are the most obvious.

I WILL vote BLUE … but I so hope it’s someone that I truly want.

        • Hello Nan. Nancy Pelosi is very much a corporate Democrat, and the corporate media love her and those like her. They all work for the big money people. Her latest money raising brought in 87 million. Their job is to basically keep things the same so the money flows upward to the top levels. Joe Biden told a room full of top donors that nothing was going to change, he promised that on video. So that is why mainstream media is not reporting any of the failings of these people, they all work for the same corporations.

As for Biden and his support , what is keeping his numbers high in my opinion is that he is safe for older white voters and voters of color remember he was vice president for Obama. Biden mentions Obama every three sentence or more reinforcing that connection. However POC need to understand Obama picked Biden as a comfort to the older white people in the country so they wouldn’t fear the young black guy so much. Many people claim that the first two states primaries are not reflective of the country. They are very majority white states with ideas stuck decades in the past. Hugs

          • Obama picked Biden as a comfort to the older white people in the country — And Biden has definitely done that!

I sometimes wonder if the “older folk” either don’t hear/recognize the gaffes and mistakes that tRumpsky (and Biden) make because they simply don’t recognize them (because they’re so familiar) or because they don’t care since they’re more concerned about the country being run like it was 40 years ago.

            • Hello Nan. Great question. I wish I had an answer. It is human nature to remember their good times better than they were really at the time. It is also normal to wish to return to a time of better health, more enjoyable interactions, more personal development. People want to capture what they once had. I really understand that. But it is not a good way to look at life, and a horrible thing to demand an entire country be held back to standards and ideas that were from the past just to ease the discomfort of people afraid of the times they are living. Hugs
