    • Hello Nan. McConnell has already pushed this in the right wing media and tRump has said that while he has done the best and is great he does feel it was that it could be blamed for anything that went wrong. Not him, not his administration, but impeachment. Gggrrrrr Hugs

  2. Scottie, when you alibi for a lie, that makes you a liar. It is so sad how low my former party has fallen. I left over twelve years ago for their stance on climate change and higher propensity to make things up. Many have left the party with reason, as they do not recognize it. Keith

    • Hello Keith. I do not recognize the Republican party. In my mind it is gone. There is the Democratic party and the party of tRump. I used to know Republicans I could like even if I disagreed with their positions on social issues. But when those Republicans became single issue voters out to deny rights to anyone not like them I lost any respect for the Republicans of that time. I think all the former Republicans trying to hold on to what they used to be should change their party name. Make a new one. The base has clearly shown where they are, what they like, what they want, and it is not the former Republicans. The new party has to stake out their positions clearly and fill the niche in society not being filled, that they can agree with and promote.

My point is that the word Republican has become so sullied, so associated with all that tRump is and pushes , that it is too toxic to ever apply to any other group with any good intent.

Be well. Stay safe in these trying time. Hugs

      • Scottie, people need to reach out in greater numbers to GOP Senators and Representatives and say we are going to hold you accountable. Just yesterday, the president fired the Inspector General who had the temerity to raise concerns with actions in the Ukraine saying the whistleblower complaint had veracity If that were not enough, it was confirmed that he went against the wishes of the COVID-19 team and would not do a special enrollment for the ACA. Forget that it would save lives, it would mean he supported the use of Obamacare. Then, finally he continues to be belligerent to states needing ventilators. It should not go unnoticed that China is stepping in to fill the US government void.

States need help and they don’t need a narcissistic person telling them they did not genuflect enough to warrant the consideration of help. We need a leader, not a petulant toddler. Again, it still amazes me that if he is so consumed with his image, back in January, he had the opportunity to be a leader for the first time. The ball was on the tee for him to be presidential and forewarn us about the virus. And, he whiffed. The truth did not enter in his mind. He had to return to form and lie that it was not a concern, under control and democrat hoax.

        • Hello Keith. tRump’s stance was based on what he thought would affect his reflection effort. So he tried his best to wish the virus away and the stock market to keep gaining ever higher numbers. He is far to use to being able to set reality to whatever he wants it to be.

Have you read todays Heather Cox post? I think it would interest you. Hugs

          • Scottie, interesting read. In essence, Trump is saying Republicans have to cheat to win. But, the GOP county leader in Buncombe County, NC let the cat out of the bag a few years back. His words led to his resignation and were used in court by the Judge to overturn a voter ID law. His words were spoken to a “Daily Show” correspondent. He said, the voter ID law was designed to “kick Democrats’ butts.” The correspondent said “you realize we are taping this?” And, he grinned and said he did. Keiith

            • Hello Keith. The idea that Republicans feel they are entitled to rule is one I have heard since Bill Clinton said it after his Presidency ended. It also disgusts me that Republicans are OK with minority rule over a majority. A sad state for a democracy. Hugs
