  1. Scottie, if you drew a graph of economic distribution in our country and asked Americans to select the US one from several, they would pick ones that are more evenly distributed. They, of course, would be wrong. America has a problem that is both racial and economic. We have a heavy tilt to the upper end of the income spectrum, where our middle class has been getting squeezed downward, not upward. We have way too many Americans living paycheck to paycheck and many who are beneath that rate.

But, it is worse in black communities, where we have more food deserts, fewer health clinics and grocery options, and corresponding increases in crime. We are also seeing this in impoverished rural areas, where we can add in opioid addiction. The lack of health clinics and greater propensity of service jobs have led to community more impacted by COVID-19.

We are seeing a real time frustration that has exploded with the additive black deaths at the hands of police or vigilantes. Keith

    • Hello Keith. I agree. People are tired of life being a constant struggle to live. That includes daily systematic racism POC face. People in other advanced countries don’t face this struggle just to survive? We are told we live in the wealthiest country on earth, but the majority of our people live like a non-advanced country. It is especially irritating when our government gives all the benefits of the public treasury to the wealthy while telling the lower incomes and poor they have to cut back and face more austerity. I include the military industrial complex in that. People are sick of there being two countries, one were it is a constant losing struggle to survive and the other where wealthy people live a life of ease and luxury while seeming to look down at the rest of us in a completely dismissive way. Hugs
