    • Hello Nan. That is great. Now I know at least one place I can get videos for you. I just want to share the news, and comedians are not the normal way I want to do it, but if it is good for getting the information out, I am all for it. Hope you have been well. Things are good here. Ron wants me to make oatmeal cookies soon. Like tomorrow. I will have to make two different batches as he wants raisins in his and I dislike them. I may make the other batch with peanut butter. More time away from the computers.

Funny thing, Ron came into my office this morning about 10 AM and said ” I am not going to bother you today … much . Much. I know you want to get things caught up”. Then on and off today he has either been in or asking my opinion on something out of my office. Oh well, 30 years and counting. Hugs

OT: It seems Ron is losing his hearing at some levels of sounds. He can not seem to hear any timers anymore, not the stove ones or the portable ones, or even some sounds on his phone. So a few minutes ago I had to go into the living room and tell him the timer going off right in front of him was going off. He worked at Pratt & Whitney when he was young and in the jet engine area, and it seems to now be showing up in hearing loss. He is worried. He already wears headphones and ear buds to watch his TV most of the time, as it is easier for him to hear that way. I tell him not to worry I can bellow with the best of them, from all the bellowing in my childhood. Any way, be well. Hugs

      • Ahhh yes. Losing hearing. What. A. Pain. I’ve been using hearing aids for around 5 years now. One ear is worse than the other, which is typical. Word to the wise … Costco is the best place to go for testing.

Ron is clearly bringing out your baking talents. Better watch out … you both may soon be dealing with weight problems along with everything else!!

P.S. Don’t count on me watching every video! It depends as much on the person and the topic as it does the CC. As I’ve indicated before, I’m not into individuals who are just spouting their opinion for the sake of spouting their opinion. 😖

        • Hello Nan. On videos I understand. One reason I try to post on different subjects is not everyone is interested in all the different topics. I say to new viewers, I have many things in my Toy Box and I hope they find something interesting to them here.

On Ron’s hearing I have several different headphones for him set up to work with both his computer and his TV setup. I asked him why he used headphones when the doors are closed or it wouldn’t bother me in anyway. He said he can hear the stuff, the music and sounds better with the headphones. That tells me we will have to watch his hearing carefully.

As for my cooking. Yes I am baking more and cooking more because Ron is eating more at home. He also is cooking more as he is home more. I have gained a few pounds, but he has not. ??? My big worry is our blood sugars. My sugar is under control, his is not so much. So when I bake I try to use as little actual sugar as possible. I like a blended Splenda sugar and it is very sweet tasting so I can cut the amounts in half and still have things come out great.

One thing on the oatmeal cookies, Quaker Oats use to have the recipe right on top of the can. Now I will have to look it up online. Times change. Be well. Hugs

  2. Nan and Scottie, I love this guy. . and I especially appreciated the scene in front of the church. In fact, I got such a kick out of it that I sent it to one of my friends — she’s an Anglican minister. 🙂

As I’ve said to many of my friends, if tRump gets Covid (or gets blackened by a lightning bolt), I’ll believe there’s a god.

    • Hello Carmen. Good to hear from you. Glad you liked it. Hope all is well for you and your family. If tRump gets hit by a lightening bolt, I will think it is the devil calling one of his minions home for reeducation. 😀😃😄😇😇 Hugs

    • Hello Carmen. Nope we got it. Sorry I have been working all day to get to all the comments and I took an hour or so off for supper. Ron made a wonderful meal. A beautiful standing rib roast that came out wonderfully rare to medium rare, baked potatoes, gravy, broccoli in cheese sauce. Now after having eaten, and helped clean up, I am struggling to stay awake. Think I am shortly off to bed. Well there is always tomorrow to finish right? Unless tRump does something even more stupid tonight. I loved your leaders long pause when asked about tRump’s handling of the protests. You could see the gears going on in his head. I don’t blame him, why open a war with tRump today when tRump is already self destructing. Be well. Hugs

      • He was probably brought up by the maxim, “If you can’t say anything nice, say nothing at all”. Master of diplomacy, he is. Believe it or not, he has lots of enemies. I’ve dropped many from my friends list on FB — I don’t want to read it.
        Rest well!

        • Hello Carmen. Really, I did not know that. Other than the criticism of his family wearing traditional dress in India, something I did not see a problem with, I had not heard much against him. I would trade you guys our leader for him in a nano second. Heck at least Trudeau thinks before he speaks. Hugs

  4. Here’s what one of my friends put on FB-
“While the CPC and NDP scream for Trudeau to vocally condemn the revenge prone Donald Trump for his inconceivable actions – it is nice to know that our PM has the sense to realize that Trump is a child running amuck and totally out of control. To call Trump out right now – would be disastrous to Canada – we all know that Trump would seek revenge.
Sure, Trump is a monster, a racist, a sexist and many other – “ists” and loathsome things – we all know this. His actions of late are definitely in the realm of insanity – which of course makes him very dangerous too.
The removal of Trump is the duty of the American voter. The duty of the rest of the world – and yes Trump affects us all – is to convince the Americans that their leader has to go. To pick a war of words with a person with zero regard for others is not what Canada needs right now – thanks to the PM for having a brain.”

(CPC and NDP are two of the opposition parties)

    • What a shame that OTHER countries must walk on egg shells simply because the U.S. has such a revengeful narcissist.

      • The words of Justin Trudeau’s father Pierre (who was another of our PM’s) have come back to haunt the son. He said this to Richard Nixon in 1969 –
“Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt.”

      • Hello Nan. I think this is having long term consequences as to how much other countries want to be part and parcel of the US participation in thing. They will trade with the US and other stuff like that but they will not include the US in their intelligence nor include the US in their plannings. They will develop relationships for guarding their areas and setting up regional partnerships that don’t include the US. Hugs
