Scotties Toy Box

The Many Things In My Toy Box ….my view may change due to verifiable evidence

I keep telling people that these Christians do not want to get along with others, they want and demand superiority.    They want special rights for Christianity.  They want a Christian theocracy, not a democracy.   Hugs

Ralph Reed: We Must Re-Elect Trump to Ensure Christian Supremacy in Politics

During an “Evangelicals for Trump” rally on Thursday in Alpharetta, Georgia, right-wing activist and former head of the Christian Coalition Ralph Reed said that Donald Trump needed to be re-elected in order to preserve Christian supremacy.

… we got a big job to do in the next 100 days. Let’s go out and do it — not just to re-elect him, but to glorify God and make sure Christians are the head and not the tail, and the top and not the bottom, of our political system.

Notice, too, that Reed isn’t talking about preserving religious freedom for everyone. He doesn’t give a damn about other people. It’s only about making sure Christians — and, honestly, just right-wing evangelicals since the rest of them are heretics — get to control as much of our society as possible.

There is more at the link above.   Hugs

Hello Polly. Agreed. They have gotten worse under tRump and pushing them back out of government won’t be easy. tRump has managed to stack the courts with religious ideologues who rule according to their faith not the laws. Hugs

Scottie, no president has ever done more to harm Christianity than the incumbent. Many have left the church due to this person be held up as a paragon. The behavior of this president – lying, bullying, sexual assault and harassment, racism, denigration, and putting people in harm’s way – are not what I was taught or tried to teach our kids.

It should be noted, there are two ministers, Padre Steve and John Pavlovitz, who have blogs that echo these concerns. Keith

Hello Keith. I know that the religious grifters are using tRump, just as tRump is using them. I know that there are some sincere religious leaders and people, but they are not getting the headlines and using the media to attack others. I just read this earlier, what do you think? Hugs
