The Many Things In My Toy Box ….my view may change due to verifiable evidence

The New York Times reports:

One of the first school districts in the country to reopen its doors during the coronavirus pandemic did not even make it a day before being forced to grapple with the issue facing every system actively trying to get students into classrooms: What happens when someone comes to school infected?

Just hours into the first day of classes on Thursday, a call from the county health department notified Greenfield Central Junior High School in Indiana that a student who had walked the halls and sat in various classrooms had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Administrators began an emergency protocol, isolating the student and ordering everyone who had come into close contact with the person, including other students, to quarantine for 14 days. It is unclear whether the student infected anyone else.

Hello Chatty Introvert. You have those also? I thought I was the only one who still printed off recipes and punched holes in the paper and filed them in binders. Nice to know others do also. My problem is how to file alphabetically the many recipes I want to make some day.

On a more serious note there is no way in person schooling can happen right now. As one superintendent said, remote learning is going to be the new future, lets train our children and teachers on how to do it now and save lives. He is correct. More and more our lives are going away from big buildings with cubicle working and more to online stuff. Kids have been doing this with video games for decades. Now let’s make it work for all of us.
