Once again, because his supporters never hear anyone but Trump’s “voice,” they assimilate his consoling comment into their already prejudiced perspective:

“We simply want to MAKE THE POST OFFICE GREAT AGAIN, while at the same time saving billions of dollars a year for American Taxpayers,” he wrote. “Dems don’t have a clue!”

In actuality, it’s his supporters that don’t have a clue … until their important mail is late …

Hello Nan. No other department of the government is required to make money. Not the military, or the EPA, nor the State Department. The Postal Service did make money and was doing well until about 2006 when a Republican congress passed a law requiring the Postal Service to fund the pensions of current and future employees for 75 years into the future. Employees who have not been born yet are having their pensions funded. That is ridiculous. No private company has to do that, in fact the Republicans have weakened government protections of workers pensions allowing companies to underfund them and leave the government to pick up the tab. The Republicans seen the money potential in an unregulated private mail system and wanted it for themselves. So they set out to destroy the post office. Now again under tRump another cherished part of the US that was working for the people is being destroyed and dismantled. For all those who kept saying the US needed a businessman president to run the country like a business, well here you go … a corporate raiding hostile takeover business snatching the US from the people. Hugs

Hello ShellDigger. Ya I just got told that same thing when I complained to WordPress that the new block editor was adding to many steps and complications to my blogging. After 13 years and 3,237,011 hits they told me to use the added steps work around, like it, or leave. It is what it is. I am so angry I was spitting nails which may not have helped my case. Asked the support guy how I do I get a reply to my complaint, he said he was the reply, I said it was not good enough … got told it is what it is, sorry. Oh well. Hope your day is going better. Hugs
