I have an unsettling, terrible feeling that just won’t go away the past few weeks. Time to hit the gym and fill up the punching bag again. I’m prepared to just stay home and not go anywhere for the next several months.

Hello Chatty Introvert. I got really depressed after I read the Atlantic article. When I realized the lengths his followers and lawyers were willing to go to in order to cheat and steal an election. Such disregard for democracy and lack of care for the constitution just to keep tRump in power is scary. This is not just tRump is a bad disgusting person, it is the people fighting and breaking the laws to keep him in power illegally. It is like they think the slime and crime coming if tRump stays in power will not affect them, just the lower class disposable humans. I expect his cult members like the Proud Boys and other Brownshirts will try to burn the ballots in drop boxes, try to prevent them from being collected or counted. Pour contaminated fluid on them. I have to start researching the people on our local ballot. Hugs

They’re stuck in their own viewpoint. I’ve been reading “Fear: Trump in the White House” the past few days and got to the bit when they were trying to tell him that we’re an 80+% service economy now and those jobs aren’t coming back (before the tariff debacle). Dump was being stubborn about it and saying something like “it’s just what I see. I’ve seen it that way for 30 years.” And others around him (cohn of all people) were trying to get him off that traditional economy mindset that just didn’t mesh with reality. But he sees things the way he sees ’em and everyone else is just supposed to deal with it. But now it’s not just Dump, they’re all becoming like that.
We’re living in those “interesting times” that one guy way back when talked about. I wanna get in a time machine, go to China and find the guy who said it and give him a vicious wedgie and say “that line is gonna cause so much grief. Knock it off!”
Oh well, maybe some light(ish) news with Beau will improve my morning (been going back through old vids, am at two months ago now…amazing all the crap that’s happened in the past year), or more science with Mark Rober. Watched the elephant toothpaste in the pool vid with the neighbor’s kid while we waited for the computer to update.

Hello Chatty Introvert. tRump has the same mindset as all the elderly elected leaders in congress, their minds are set in time to when they were in their prime, when things were best for them. A lot of people do that as they get older, they remember the good old days and pine for them. The problem was those days were never the way they are remembered and they were not good for everyone. That is why the people in congress on both sides of the isle fight legalization of marijuana because in their day it was an illegal dangerous drug and they can not get past that. That is way the country needs younger elected leaders that can understand the current conditions and feelings in the country. Hugs

and in their day, it was the supposed favored drug of minorities (I still can’t get over the half-hilarious, half mind-numbing flick “reefer madness.”) I’m gonna pull up the rifftrax live “best of” version now and relax…

Hello Chatty Introvert. Remember long time senator and tRump’s first AG? He is a rabid racist who supported the KKK. But he turned on the KKK when he found out some of their members used marijuana. He never got over the idea of reefer madness being a real thing leading to homosexuality and morality. Hugs

feels funny in a naive sort of way. Kinda like the white supremacist who rages about their “pure blood” and then they do one of those genetic tests to show people, and it turns out they’re as mixed as everyone else. The way they deflate all of a sudden is kinda like “yes, karma!” But it’s also kinda sad, like “wow, how hard were you sold this that this is the only thing you think you had going for you?”

What a great collection! Wow. Not exactly a cartoon, but I managed to catch a glimpse of the new GOP Mascot: A bit like the old mascot (the rear half) but with no brain, no spine, and no heart — yet still capable of spewing tons of manure.
