Trump Tells Rally: Politics Would Be Boring Without Me

The New York Daily News reports:

President Trump claimed that politics would be ‘boring without me,’ as he slammed Joe Biden while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Trump’s comments came as he spoke to supporters in Erie.

“If you had Sleepy Joe, nobody’s going to be interested in politics anymore,” Trump said. He claimed Biden would bring “depression, doom and despair” and “boredom” if his Democratic rival wins the presidential election.

At one point during the rally, Trump’s microphone briefly cut out. When the tech issue was fixed, the president blamed Hillary Clinton. “I wonder who did that to our mic?” Trump asked. “I don’t believe it was Joe. You know who it was? Crooked Hillary. Must have been.”

More at the link above.   Notice tRump’s rally speeches are now all about tRump personally or people he dislikes personally.  None are about policy, goals, or even the good of the US.   It is only what is good for tRump.    Hugs

Scottie, I would love a boringly competent, decent and truthful leader. Senator Paul Tsongas would have been a terrific candidate in 1988, but people said he was too boring. Watching the HGTV shows, a person who can fix a leak or wiring problem is a turn on. Competence is a turn on, electorally speaking. Keith

Hello Keith. We seem to have different tastes in TV. I do agree I want a president who is not tweeting all day and causing chaos. tRump is clearly getting angry and tired. He is having trouble containing himself. Hugs

He is having trouble containing himself.

Personally, I would like to think part of that has to do with the “after-Covid” medication that some say he’s on … which, if correct, means he’s heading for a HUGE letdown! How sad … too bad.🙃

Policies? Goals? As you said, the ONLY ones that interest Trump are those that benefit HIM. To hell with anyone else … including the people of this nation.

Hello Nan. Yet at other times he calls Biden a radical, so which is it? His message is so out of sync with reality. He makes a statement and 2 minutes later he says just the opposite. His cult followers simply chose which they like better and ignore that tRump said the reverse also. I hate it, to me reality matters, truth matters. Hugs

Of course truth matters … but what we’re up against is a man who doesn’t even know what the word means. Seriously!

Hello Nan. I have read lately that with his religious supporters ignoring the truth is easier for them, they are conditioned / trained for it. Because of being told to believe things like Noah’s Ark story against all the evidence that it not only did not happen but couldn’t have happened. What do you think? Hugs

Hadn’t ever looked at it that way. I suppose it’s possible, but I don’t think that’s the reason. I tend to think it’s because he’s supportive of their “cause” and so they just take him at his word. I remember when I was a Christian and Pat Robertson was running, I was a TOTAL supporter. JUST BECAUSE HE WAS A CHRISTIAN.

Hello Nan. Yes I agree with that. But I meant that being religious primes people to ignore things that do not agree with their preconceived notions / ideas. They are trained to ignore evidence and factual data and instead believe the fantasy and lies. They also suffer from the Mandela effect.

The Mandela effect is an unusual phenomenon where a large group of people remember something differently than how it occurred. Conspiracy theorists believe this is proof of an alternate universe, while many doctors use it as an illustration of how imperfect memory can be sometimes. So many people claim things are in the bible that simply are not.

And THAT is a topic in itself!!! 😄
