Kentucky State Police Training Materials Quote Hitler, Tells Officers To “Meet Violence With Greater Violence”

The Louisville Courier-Journal reports:

Gov. Andy Beshear reacted to a report Friday showing a Kentucky State Police training slideshow quoting Adolf Hitler three times and advocating officers to use “ruthless” violence, calling it “unacceptable.” Students in the journalism program at Louisville’s duPont Manual High School obtained the slideshow from the agency through an open records request and first reported it.

“This is absolutely unacceptable,” said Beshear in an emailed statement. “It is further unacceptable that I just learned about this through social media. We will collect all the facts and take immediate corrective action.” As reported by the Manual Redeye, one slide in the training material for KSP cadets titled “Violence of Action” tells officers to “meet violence with greater violence” and be a “ruthless killer.”

Kentucky State Police training presentation quoting Hitler is ‘unacceptable,’ governor says

As reported by the Manual Redeye, one slide in the training material for KSP cadets titled “Violence of Action” tells officers to “meet violence with greater violence” and be a “ruthless killer.”

The slide then quotes a line from Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” — “The very first essential for success is a perpetually constant and regular employment of violence” — one of three from the genocidal German dictator in the presentation.

The closing slide of the training states “Über Alles” in large text, a phrase that is associated with nationalism and Nazis in Germany.

Is there any doubt now that the police forces have been infiltrated by white supremacists / white nationalist?  Is there any doubt about the Nazi influence in the law enforcement in the US.   This is now a time of reckoning, we must face it and uproot it.   Hugs

Don’t forget what a good christian man HH was. His favorite expression was “Gott Mitt Uns.” And if you got one of those belt buckles presented to you by Der Führer himself, personally, then by golly, you WERE somebody.

Funny how so many of them disappeared after the Fall of the Reich, and how great numbers of the Luftwaffen/SS got their special tattoos erased. Almost like they didn’t want that legacy to follow them any further in life.

I have a feeling it’s gonna be just like that for so many of the unfortunates who continued to cling to Hair Füror in HIS final days; usually it’s not too difficult to transition from a Gov’t position to, say, a high-paying lobbying one, or consulting, but with that stench of tRump all over them, his henchlings and minions will hopefully starve to death, and fade from view, never to be seen or heard from again.

Hello Dennis. very true. It is our job to make sure their misdeeds are remembered, that they don’t get to just pretend they did not help destroy our country and cost hundreds or thousands of lives. They were toxic to the country, to the workers, the lower class, and and we need to make sure that they remain toxic to any of the right wing organizations that influence the government.

When I was in Germany in the 1980’s as a young soldier you couldn’t find anyone who would admit that any member of their family had been a Nazi. Not one. Everyone claimed their family had always been against Hitler and worked behind the scenes to stop him and the horrible things that happened. The entire country must have been in the resistance. I refuse to let the Republicans get away with that revisionist history. Hugs
