GOP Georgia Secretary Of State: Sen. Lindsey Graham Pressured Me To Toss Out Legally Cast Absentee Ballots

The Washington Post reports:

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that he has come under increasing pressure in recent days from fellow Republicans, including Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), to question the validity of legally cast absentee ballots in an effort to reverse President Trump’s narrow loss in the state.

The atmosphere has grown so contentious, Raffensperger said, that both he and his wife, Tricia, have received death threats in recent days, including a text to him that read, “You better not botch this recount. Your life depends on it.”

Graham asked whether Raffensperger had the power to toss all mail ballots in counties found to have higher rates of nonmatching signatures, Raffensperger said. Raffspenger said he was stunned that Graham appeared to suggest that he find a way to toss legally cast ballots.

  • Scottie, I am going to repeat my comment here from an earlier post. There is an important lesson that parents know – who your friends choose as friends matters. Little Lindsey decided to be friends with little Donnie after Johnny went away. Most people that get too close to Little Donnie do not fare to well – never have.

The only wide-scale voter fraud going on is the conspiracy orchestrated by the president of the United States. Little Donnie has been staging this move for months and it is not a surprise at all. What should be a surprise, but is not really, folks like Little Lindsey are aiding and abetting this fraud with Little Donnie.

We all knew the president and his lackeys would try to disrupt the vote recount in Georgia. It was highly predictable. Now, Little Lindsey got caught.

    • Hello Nan. I think if it had not been a Republican Senator attacking a Republican state official it would have stayed hidden. The foxes don’t like their own hen house practices talked about by other foxes. Hugs

  • The people screaming ‘it’s a crime, are the people committing the crime, and the only people, at this point, in a position to prosecute the crime. Trump and his sycophants have been projecting this out, I think in 2016 on the debate stage. About the same time that he said he would drain the swamp.

Please give us the two Senators from Georgia, which Loosey Lindsey and company think should have been handed to them because Republican do that.

    • Hello Cagjr. We know that tRump and Republicans are all about projection. If they are saying others are doing it, that means they are doing it. They figure since they are / would do it, then surely the other guy is also. Hugs

    • Hello Keith. I figured that. The meaning is clear. Same with who adults choose to hang around with. I read a study maybe a decade ago that showed that a person tends to become more inline with the standards of the group they hang out with. Rather than a person changing the group, the group changes the person. So you want to be with people of the higher standards so your standards of behavior rise, not fall. Hugs

      • Scottie, I agree with that study’s conclusion. If you recall the first Harry Potter movie, the boy from Harry’s house that stood up to Harry and Ron got points, as it is harder to stand up to our friends. I also cite the great lyrics from the Rush song “Subdivisions,” which says “conform or be cast out.” Keith
